The drum sounds are coming from my yamaha dtx pro module, not the ez drummer 3

Hi,

 

my ez drummer 3’s sound is not recognized when I try and play. The sounds always come out from the module and not the presets from the software. My module is connected to my Macbook pro via USB midi. no audio interface. I have done all the necessary things in regards with changing the audio/midi set up and all is well as far as I know. but still, no sounds from EZ drummer 3.

Hope you can help me with this cos it’s a little bit frustrating. Thanks

Do the graphics in EZD work, such as cymbals tilting when played? Can you show us screen shots of your settings?

Yes they are all working. Snare hits from the EZD hits and all the other pads and cymbals. My setting from Audio/midi settings: Output>DTX module, Buffer>128,  Active midi input> DTX module. I set the e-drums/midi to dtx pro as well.

There is probably an audio input setting on your drum module that allows you to play external audio instead of from the module itself. You will need to go through your settings.

It would probably be better to use an audio interface.

Hi! Fixed it now and yes my midi ctrl input has to be turned to off so it only picks up the sounds from the EZD3. Thanks all!
