Hi,
I programmed a tempotrack with multiple tempochanges inside cubase
my drummer recorded the Song in cubase with superior drummer inserted using a Roland Td-50 edrum.
afterwards i would like to bounce the midi track to multiple audio files, but the tempo will no reflect in superior drummer.
the only Solution i found is to programm the tempochanges inside superior drummer again. But this is annoying.
is there another way to bounce the midi Track to audio with the correct tempochanges?
thanks,
ruediger
I use Cubase and always record midi in Cubase and not in SD3. It’s much easier that way. I also enable multiple outputs and assign to them in SD3. Then it’s just a matter of rendering in Cubase which will then render to multiple audio files. To do in SD3 you need to get the tempo map into SD3 as well.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
Hi Mark,
thanks for your answer!
In the meantime I found a Solution which is suitable for me. It is described in the Superior Drummer Manual at Chapter 7.1.1
See:
RECORD MIDI METHOD:
Alternatively you can use the Record function of the Song Track to record the MIDI into the Song Track. When using the Record function however it is still necessary to Import the Tempo From a MIDI file that contains tempo changes, and then de-select the follow host option in Superior Drummer 3 (as you will now be using the tempo map from the MIDI file). Failure to do so will result in audio files that do not line up with the tempo changes in your DAW.
The procedure for recording MIDI that contains tempo changes into Superior Drummer 3’s Song Track and bouncing this MIDI to audio is as follows:
