Tap-2-Find results include SDX expansions – how to hide those?

I am new to the Toontrack universe, and not very familiar with the product line other than EZ Drummer 2.

When I use the Tap-2-Find feature in EZ Drummer with the Show Web Shop MIDI button enabled, I have noticed that some of the matching MIDI clips are actually in SDX expansions, not EZX expansions. For example, last night, the closest matches to a groove I was looking for were actually in the “Custom & Vintage SDX”, which appears to be part of the Superior Line.

QUESTIONS:
1. Am I right that EZ Drummer cannot use SDX expansions?
2. If I am right about #1, is there a way to keep EZ Drummer from including SDX MIDI clips in Web Shop MIDI results?
3. If I ever decided to upgrade to Superior Drummer, is it capable of loading/importing content from my EZ Drummer EZX expansions? (I’ve already gotten several of them.)

1. Correct, EZdrummer cannot use SDXs. But it can use their MIDI. We don’t
expect you to buy an SDX just to use the MIDI, of course. The MIDI of most
SDXs is available for purchase separately – but I don’t think that is the
case for Custom & Vintage. So, unfortunately, your complaints are
completely valid :-/

1. No you can’t use SDXs in EZdrummer. You can use any MIDI packs (even the MIDI taken from the SDX).

However, I don’t see the C&V MIDI pack for sale on the website. I’ll ask the website admin.

3. Yes, you can load EZdrummer expansions in S2. You will also have access to the MIDI from those packs too.

Yeah, I’m looking into it.

Either Toontrack should offer a C&V MIDI pack (they have the other SDX libraries withe MIDI-only version), or make that C&V choice not available in the web shot search in EZD2.

I’ll let you know what I find out.
