The more I experiment, the weirder things get. If I lower the velocity of the tambourine hits (for example, below 20) the hits are perfectly in time, and loud. As soon as the velocity goes above 40, there is a delay, and the hits get quieter. I did a test (see screenshot). 4 hits, each on the beat, and with increasing velocities. The first hit is the loudest and played back in time with its position on the grid. Hits 2, 3, and 4 are all played back with some delay. Hit 3 is the quietest and hit 4 a slightly louder articulation of hit 3, approximately the same volume as hit 2.

The tambourine hits in the Latin Percussion EZX work as expected. The problems I’ve described here are when using the Pop/Rock kit or the EZDrummer 2 Modern kit.

Be patience with this old video.

Don’t like it? Right-Click on the One-Shot instrument and play that Tambourine instead.

    Hope that helps.
