Hi there,
perhaps this is just an oversight on my behalf, but how can I seemlessly switch projects without manually going to the File->Open menu?
Reason for asking: when playing live, I switch between sets (i.e. projects) from song to song and do not want to interact with a PC while doing so. Is there for example a setting to assign midi notes to projects so that SD3 changes projects when receiving those notes? What other possibilities exist?
Thanks in advance,
Cheers!
Hi,
it is currently not possible to switch Projects like that. What I would do in your case is Save my User Presets so they appear in the performance order in the User Presets Menu, then the only interaction would be to click the down arrow, to move to next Preset.
A long time ago, I heard about a small shareware or freeware program that could transform MIDI to keystrokes, maybe that is worth looking into?

Another way to (possibly) go is to use a DAW, and switch presets using MIDI. There are even some DAWs that are made for live playing, like Mainstage for Mac.

I might want to try switching presets using midi then, do you have any insight on that?
Midi->Keyboard might be an option, but sounds like a workaround for something that should actually be working out-of-the-box…
Will keep you posted on my progress.
