Superior Kit Stuck on Default in Logic

Hello, I am having trouble accessing my kits from superior dummer 3, in Logic Pro X. For example once I load SD3 into Logic Pro X, I then see levels and can play/record. However even if I change my kits in SD3 they will not load into Logic, Logic will only play the default kit sound. I must be overlooking something in the process. How can I record my custom SD3 kits in Logic Pro X?

Are you instantiating SD3 on an instrument track in Logic? Please elaborate on your workflow and possibly ZIP up and post your Logic project without audio.
