I’ve deleted and reinstalled twice on my Mac to a external samples drive, upgraded my ram, upgraded my Hardrive to solid state and your product does not get any better with laggin. It’s great in standalone but if I’m using it for professional reasons and recording on protools. The lag on this is insane. It takes so long to open one thing at a time and I can’t even use the “beat finder” feature. If there is something I’m missing please let me know ASAP. You’re product is the only thing slowing my rig down. Definitely disappointed finding out there’s no phone number.
While you don’t provide specific details regarding your upgrades & changes ,
I suspect that if there is anything to review, it would be the RAM.
(Toontrack products load their samples into RAM
and only read from the disc while loading them into RAM.)
Do you experience different amounts of lag dependent upon the size of the kit loaded?
Do you have other non-DAW products running in the background too?
Sure thing
1 Tb hardrive
32 GB rams (16 each)
also external drive is 4tb (where I’m putting the samples of superior drummer)
There are no applications/daws open or plugins on while running superior drummer on protools. I only have superior drummer in an insert. The lag is constant no matter what bit size I’m running or drums I put in. It’s like a 2-5 sec delay. So the writing process can get really tedious.

Hi,
I use SD3 daily on a Mac Pro and MacBook Pro and only experience delay (never as much as seconds, though) if there is something in the signal path introducing it.
If you want, I can take a look at your Session but check the playback engine buffer and the signal path.
If you have a low buffer and a direct signal path, you should be able to get down to around 3-5ms round-trip in Pro Tools, depending on which audio interface you are using.

Hopefully, a higher buffer setting will reduce the lag for you
and that the issue is not Mojave-related.
I know of at least one (1) Pro Tools installation rendered useless/inoperable
after updating to Mojave.
2019/03/27 - macOS Mojave (10.14) is not supported with Pro Tools at this time.
“AVID has announced that Media Composer 2018.10,
Sibelius 2018.11, and the First products for the same versions of Media Composer
and Sibelius are compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave.
All other products are not supported yet.”
Check their compatibility page for more information. (LINK)
I’m definitely gonna try to downgrade to the last OS cause I installed superior literally after I just updated to mojave.
Plus most my friends that have it and use it daily have an older version and it works perfectly.
thank you
