New releases and tons of deals – all centered around one of our favorite themes: rock! Power up your songwriting toolbox!
Hi there,
Thanks in advance for any help any of you can offer.
I’ve had EZ Drummer happily installed on my M1 Mac mini for a while.
When I updated to Superior Drummer, I downloaded all the everything that was needed
but since I wasn’t doing any production work for a while never checked to see if it all worked.
Then, yesterday, when getting back to work and updating everything (and following prompts to delete unnecessary files et al)
I noticed that I still had folders/files left in my download folder from back when I first upgraded, which I thought would be fixed when I did all the updating. As you can see, one was left there.
Because I know better than to just grab that folder and put it somewhere – I’m asking help for what to do next.
I’m attaching some screen shots of where I have things, which include the paths, and can upload more if need be.
Note – I notice a couple of empty Superior Drummer folders and wonder what was meant to go in them.
I’m hoping I’ve added everything you might need to help me.
Thanks again
Emory
The left side of the Toontrack Product Manager will/should show you things it suggests to let it clean up (if any). Things like the downloads from Toontrack after they’ve been installed. That being said you really need to clean up that downloads folder – like putting your Social Security documents in their own folder in your Mac’s ‘Documents’ folder.

Thanked by: Emory SorrentinoThanks for your reply – and the reminder to clean up my downloads folder – which I have haha.
So, if the Product Manager doesn’t suggest anything – I should just leave that Toontrack folder and it’s contents
in the Downloads Folder? Won’t that be problematic when I migrate to another machine?
Thanks again,

Once you have everything installed you should be able to deleted the Toontrack stuff in the downloads folder. The downloads folder should never be used as a regular storage folder.
