Hi my friends, I have a question that I couldn’t find the answer.
Always I program my drums in Piano Roll from Logic Pro X. After that I make a “bounce in situ” of the multi track from Superior Drummer 3 (kick, snare, hh, toms, oh, room). Here all is perfect, I have the audio files of my drums and start to mix.
Today I realize that all the audio files from Superior Drummer 3 are in perfect phase in comparison with Virtual Instrument (SD3) except the Hi Hat.
My comparison is very easy: Track 1 = Kick from Virtual Instrument SD3, Track 2 = Kick as an audio file from the Bounce. After that I make a Phase Invert of the Track 2 and listen at the same time Track 1 + Track 2. The result is SILENCE, perfect cancelation. Snare OK, Toms OK, Cymbals OK.
But, When I make the same excercise with the HI HAT that is not a perfect cancelation. WHY??
There are something in the bounce process maybe. What do you think? could you check this in your DAW?
THANKS!!
Hi guys, I make the same test than before, but in a NEW PROJECT (with out process and other tracks) and all worked. Perfect cancelation… so… The Bounce vs the Virtual Instrument (SD3) are in perfect phase…
I think my first session is to heavy in CPU demand, and could be affect the phase of the Bounce.
Regards 😉
