As the title suggests very miffed this took so long to DL, and now gives the error “File could not be written to. Input/output error”
Any Ideas. I can manually copy the obw files but 3 are corrupt. soundb37, 38 and 39. Does anybody have a DL just for these 3 files plz? or a fix for the broken DL. I dont want to have to DL the 46GB file again plz.
I/O error means that the disk is bad (has some bad sectors), most likely. Try to repair it with Disk Utility.

Well, input/output error has nothing to do with what is downloaded, it’s an error in the operation of writing to the disk.

so what do you suggest as help? I work in IT as well so am very tech savy as I see you are being a coder. It is my suspicion that the three files soundb37, 38 and 39 are corrupt and that the error being shown by mac OS is misleading. The disk is new, health and formatted correctly. I have tried using another disk but get the same error. Is anybody able to share just these 3 files?
In your previous download attempt, only soundb37 was being retried over and over, so you got 38 and 39 correctly. I have now purged the server caches for soundb37 and I see you are downloading again. We’ll how that goes.
