Hi,
I have just upgraded to Cubase 12 and Superior Drummer 3 doesn’t seem to be working well within Cubase 12. Lots of pops and clicks etc that I never had in Cubase 11. Before I go and do my troubleshooting in C12 (checking all settings and preferences) just wanted to see if anyone else has used SD3 successfully in Cubase 12 or has the upgrade had an impact. cheers, Andrew

Modified Yamaha DTX900, DTXPRESS4 and Edrumin10 triggering SD3. Yamaha pads/cymbals and Roland VH-10 HiHat. PDP Maple acoustic kit for live playing.
Is this anything to do with vst2 vs vst3 ?

SOLVED ( I think). I updated all Cubase preference settings to be same as previous version 11 and now seem to be OK. Very minor increase in latency but not noticeable.

My understanding was that Cubase 12 would no longer accept VST2, or VST1 for that matter.
This is interesting as all Superior Drummer VSTs are up to VST2, even though Superior Drummer version is 3.
BUT, after doing some research, it appears that this is only the case for Apple Silicon Macs AND while st running their “Native” mode.
correct. Vst2 is supported in Cubase on pc for another two years so this is not a problem. As you say It is only on Mac M1 computers running in native mode that vst3 is not supported. It is supported on Rosetta.
