To whom it may concern,
I purchased Superior Drummer 3 today – that worked out ok.
I installed Superior Drummer 3 – that worked out ok.
I tried downloading Library Part 1 but ran into a problem.
The Toontrack Product Manager displayed an error message stating: “Download of Superior Drummer 3 Library Part 1 has stopped. Verification completed but the download could then not be renamed. Access is denied”.
Further Info
Download location set within the Product Manager is set to: “E:\ToontrackDownloads” – that hard drive has over 700 GB free space.
Product manager is indicating 40.5 GB of 40.5 GB downloaded – that looks good.
Name of download is: “SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1.incomplete”
What do I need to do to get the Product Manager to complete the process?
Simply rename “SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1.incomplete” to “SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1” perhaps?
What???
Thanks in advance
Rob
After a couple of hours Product Manager is now indicating: “complete”
Doesn’t instill confidence …
Hi,
Yes, you could have renamed “SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1.incomplete” to “SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1” to fix that error. It seems that Product Manager retried later (automatically after a restart or if you resumed the download) and succeeded with the rename.
What filesystem does the disk have? NTFS? And what brand is it? Is it an SSD?

It might have come good after a restart I suspect.
Filesystem is all NTFS. I don’t remember the Brand unfortunately – it’s a 2TB mechanical drive. Pretty sure the drive is functioning correctly though.
It’s just one of number of HDD’s and SSD’s in the system.
Anyway, I got to try out the product loaded with only the basic sound library and it looks, sounds & functions pretty darn good:) A much better experience with the updated GUI etc. I’m liking it … … …
Alright. This renaming problem has only occurred on NTFS drives, as far as I know. It’s strange.
Glad you’re liking SD3!
