I can see the majority of all my packs, except The Metal Foundry. It can see my folders, the hierarchy, but not the midi. Superior 2 can clearly see the very midi files, while 3 cannot. I’ve tried resyncing midi, reinstalling the midi (until I figured out how the file structure operates), and manually adding. Nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?

By that, do you mean Restore MIDI Database in Settings? If not, that usually fixes these problems.

That’s what I meant to write. Those screenshots were a post-restore midi database. I’m quite confused why some are in the proper place, but most aren’t.
I’ll check with the coders today to see if they can figure this one out! Thanks for the patience…

That is very strange, my guess is that something went wrong during the update process of Superior 3.
First of all, make sure that you run the latest version of Superior 3, it should say 3.1.2 in the bottom left corner. (see screenshot)
If you already run 3.1.2, try running the update again (after closing all instances of Superior 3)
Then try running the “Restore MIDI Database” in settings again, also press the “Clear All Filters” button if it is still there after you have finished restoring the database.
Let me know if it still doesn’t work 🙂

Still no dice. I just uninstalled the entire application, reinstalled it, then restored the MIDI database and came up with the same missing files. I can see the files on the hard disk in the right location, Superior just can’t see it. Oddly enough, Superior 2 within Cubase can.
Actually, looking back at your original pictures I see that your MIDI folder seems to be very strange, your “Metal Foundry” directory actually contains folders from “EZX Drumkit From Hell Guests” MIDI pack! (Those are the “missing” files”) Also there are some loose folders named “Straight 4/4” and “Swing 4/4” in your EZX Libraries and other anomalies.
I have no good explanation to how you end up with having this strange folder structure, unless you have been manually moving folders around in the MIDI folder? In that case it is not supported and will create issues like this, unfortunately there is nothing you can do to fix this except to uninstall all drum MIDI libraries and also go to the MIDI folder and remove any remaining subfolders there and then reinstall your MIDI (and then leave it be).
Hope this helps!
For information, the reason it works in Superior 2 is because it simply lists the files/folders on disk whereas Superior 3 has an internal database that matches the original folder structure of the MIDI pack and displays entries from the database instead of actual files. So, the folder you have selected in the image is not part of Metal Foundry and thus doesn’t exist in Superior 3.

Good question. I’ve been running this setup for what feels like 10 years with no memory how it got this way, I’ll assume it’s a user problem. I’ll uninstall all the libraries and do it all over again cleanly, then report back. Thanks for your assistance thus far.
Followup. What pack did Mattias Grahn, Tomas Haake come from? You mentioned Guests, is that an installer somewhere? Was it from the original Drumkit from Hell?
