In my studio i using sd3 for making music through cubase 13. I have no problem at all. Sometimes i also make music from my home cuz there is 20km one way to reach out to my studio. No problem at home either when using cubase and sd3. I also have a coverband as well and we have our reharshal times in my studio. For the drummer we using a roland td30 and sd3. BUT here is the problem. Im using the standalone app for reharsal. SD3 always stop working and leaves the message “Audio engine inactive” and i have to push the reset button. After resetting it can work again for about 5 minutes or 10 seconds. Everyone gets so upset when it happens all the time. i cant figure out whats the problem.
I have tried to not even turned on the td30 and just started up a midi fill in standalone app and “Audio engine inactive” happens anyway. So td30 should not be the problem. I did the same at home but the “Audio engine inactive” did NOT appear.
Windows 11. Using uad hardware and drivers both at home and in the studio. 44.1 sampelrate at both places
Someone have an idea what i can try? Maybe a moderator knows?
I was getting same notice and for a few times I would just reboot my pc . That worked only a few times , the last thing I tried seems to have worked, it’s been a week now with no issues . All I did was switch the power from from one usb connection to another from pc from my audio box 🙏
