Super Slow, took days to verify, 80% of grooves grayed out… Really?

Hey guys,

 

I’m having a hell of a time with SD3. It is insanely slow to load then when it does load it’s super sluggish. Like if I Click settings in the menu bar the menu doesn’t come up for like 3 minutes if it decides to at all. I could deal with that if all the grooves I was expecting were here. Not only that but installing the part 1, 2 etc etc is a nightmare and sd3 is constantly having issues connecting to the library. I opened it up today and my drum set now is some sort of electric drum set and I can’t change back to the normal one. LOL. Is anyone else having these issues? I just can’t believe such expensive software is so clunky and troublesome.

What grooves are included? For instance when I click on Latin… the only playstyle available is swirl half the types are grayed out. Is this normal?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

I think some system specs like Mac/PC, and computer specs and ram etc is good for anybody trying to help.

Is it installed on internal or external drive etc, if external if usb 2/3 port on computer. As standalone or plugin, in what daw etc.

Yes what are your specs etc. I use it on a 10 year old i7 and it’s absolutely fine. Something doesn’t sound right with your computer as no one has complained about SD3 being sluggish

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
