Hello,
I ran into problems with multiple instances of EZDrummer 1.3.0, but later found a thread in this forum that this is a known problem: as long as sample rate is higher than 44.1 KHz, attempt to load more than one instance of EZDrummer crashes the host. I tried it with both Cubase 6 32 bit and 64 bit versions, and yes they both crashed.
I hope this issue will be fixed asap, but how should we deal with it in the meantime? I don’t really want to start changing sample rates for my projects, so the only workaround is to use a single instance of EZDrummer. The reason I used two instances because I used two different kits (Latin and Nashville). But how can I achieve the same this with only one instance?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
before the next version is released, I’d say that freezing one of the EZdrummer tracks at a time would be the best workaround if you do not wish to lower the sample rate.
BTW, you haven’t considered upgrading to Superior 2? Then you can (among things) combine drums from different expansions in one plugin instance.

Well, this is what I currently did: keep single instance and change drum kits as I go. Inconvenient but does not crash Cubase. Really looking forward for a fix.
I just bought EZDrummer with a few expansions, and I think I should find more reasons to upgrade (I consider upgrading to get rid of the bug to be a wrong reason). Drums are not essential parts of my arrangements, so in general EZDrummer with various MIDI files is what I need. I see a potential advantage of merging instruments from different expansions into a single instance, but I need some time to find out if I really need it.
Thanks for the quick response.
BTW is there a timeline for a next version or at least a fix of this problem?
