Hi,
I just bought the Nashville expansion and there seem to be sudden changes in the tone of the snare when playing a midi file.
The tone of the snare changes quite drastically as the song progresses and this is very unpleasant.
I guess the sound of each hit is not the same for realism reasons, but the sound of some hits seems to me very far from the basic sound.
I had already noticed this problem with the standard EZdrummer 2 kits, and also with the percussions of the Latin Percussion EZX and Latin Cuban Percussion EZX expansions.
Is this “normal”?
Is there a way to correct this problem?
Thanks for your help
You might be hearing the Alternate Hit which is involuntary. If you open the Properties Panel for your snare and watch the Details Tab while your file is playing, you may be able to tell if this is the problem. You can’t turn this off in EZD2, but you can in SD3. If you think this is your issue, you can try selecting “off” for humanize, but your entire kit will be affected as well. I’m not a fan of Alternate Hit, some of the EZXs have it.

Thank you very much shootiehg!
The Snare Properties Panel effectively showed me that the note played by the midi file was E1 (Rimshot) instead of D1 (Center).
I replaced it with D1 and now it alternates with A0 (Center Alt). It’s perfect!
This shows me that you have to be careful when loading a third-party midi file with EZdrummer. Sometimes the notes are not in the right place.
Thanks again!
