I have been wrestling with this and cant seem to get this fixed.
I was using EZDrummer Lite with Studio One (well, I actually never got it to work) and then decided to buy EZDrummer 2 along with the EZX Metal Machine expansion. I see the Toontrack folder (and no .dll files) in the VST plugins root folder C:Program FilesVstPlugins but I cant pull up EZDrummer 2 in Studio One.
So I moved the ezdrummer.dll that was buried in C:Program FilesVstPluginsToontrack64bit to the root folder C:Program FilesVstPlugins and now I see EZDrummer Lite in Studio One but I uninstalled EZDrummer Lite and deleted all the remnants before buying and installing EZDrummer 2 and the EZX. And EZDrummer Lite appears as an instrument but I cant do anything with it, probably because it was uninstalled.
So really, nothing works. I cant get it to work and I dont understand why I am still seeing anything from EZDrummer Lite since I uninstalled everything.
Thanks!
HI,
moving/copying .dll files post install is not supported and bound to cause you some grief sooner rather than later.
Please first perform a Search for ‘ezdrummer.dll’ and delete all entries that show up.
Next, re-install EZdrummer 2.0.2 and do not move or copy the .dll.
Please make sure Studio One includes the path where the .dll file is installed in its VST search.

Great, thanks!
I knew it was bad to move the .dll but I was trying anything to get it going.
There are several layers to the toontrack folder in the VST plugins folder. Which directory should the Studio One instrument library point to to have EZDrummer integrate with the program?
The root (ezdrummer didnt create a .dll in this root folder)
C:Program FilesVstPlugins
The toontrack folder
C:Program FilesVstPluginsToontrack
I am running Studio One (free version for now) on Windows 7 64-bit.
UPDATE:
I re-installed, and I pointed to the folder with the .dll in it, C:Program FilesVstPluginsToontrack but I dont see it listed in the virtual instruments window (on the right) in Studio One. How do I get it to come up?
I don’t think you can load 3rd party plugins in Studion One Free.

Would that be the correct location once I buy the Studio One Professional version?
There is no ‘correct’ location. If you let EZdrummer install to the default location, the path can be added in Studio One as described below.
