I’ve also posted this on the Presonus Studio One forum.
When dragging and dropping from the EZD browser into Studio One (using version 2, but version 1 has the same behavior), and you drag a groove over another groove, or partially over another groove (like adding a fill to the end of a groove), the parts overlap. If you then press play, you’ll hear BOTH. I don’t see a way to make the MIDI you drag in replace the MIDI that are covering.
Does anyone at Toontrack have any ideas how to get around this? As it is, you need to “make room” for the fill you’re pulling in, by trimming back the other MIDI event, then resize it again to but up against the fill you just dragged in. If the fill happens to be too long, and you overlap your other MIDI part, you sort of need to delete the fill, resize your other event again, then drag the fill in again. It’s pretty insane that it won’t just cover the other one.
