EZdrummer Lite

There should be no difference. Just 2 different plugin formats (VST and AU).

Sorry to ask a stupid question but what is the difference in the 2 formats and is it normal to have these two plugins in the install of EZdrummer lite….?
Thanks again
I’m not a programmer so I don’t really know the ‘nuts and bolts’ differences between the various plugin formats.
Some plugin formats are only compatible with certain DAWs or OS. RTAS and TDM, for example, are used in Pro Tools systems. AU is exclusively a Mac format. All these different plugin formats are to allow the most users with different systems to use our products.
I’m not sure about EZdrummer lite but when installing other plugins, there is often a choice as to what format(s) is (are) installed.
Personally, since I’m on a PC with Cubase and don’t use Pro Tools or Mac I don’t install RTAS/TDM/AU/DirectX versions of plugins, just VST.

Thanks for the input… I wasn’t given a choice on the Mac at the install so I guess I’ll just use the VST….
Have a good One…
