Hi,
I’m using EZ Drummer 2.1.5 (macOS High Sierra, 10.13.2) and now my previously sorted Library User Presets are sorted in a strange sort order, se attached picture. Anyone who can help me to get the presets sorted again?
Best Regards, Peter
Hi,
macOS High Sierra, 10.13.2 is using APFS (Apple File System). Previously OS uses HFS+. According to Apple (https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/FileManagement/Conceptual/APFS_Guide/FAQ/FAQ.html)
“Calling readdir(2) on a directory in APFS returns filenames in hash order, whereas HFS+ returns filenames in lexicographical order.” Must be a bug in EZDrummer 2 (2.1.5)! How do I report bugs?
Best Regards, Peter
Hi Again,
I think this is a severe bug for those (like I) who are using User Presets and MIDI Program Change to automatically select presets. With this strange sort ordering I can’t select the right preset:-)
Best regards, Peter
User presets have never been explicitly sorted by EZdrummer, so using APFS could have this effect, yes. Issue noted, thanks for the report.
