I just bought my first 3 expansions (Decades, Stories, State of the Art). While Decades comes with pdfs that give specs on all the kit pieces, and a handy keyboard chart with articulations, there’s nothing like that for Stories and State of the Art which is disappointing.
Even more frustrating is trying to understand how to use the tambourine articulations in Stories. There are some cool ones listed (Shake After Hit, Shake Back, etc) but they are not intuitive at all. If I play Shake After Hit, nothing happens. If I play that assigned note rapidly, once in a while a note will trigger.
There’s an articulation called Future Hit. Attached is a picture of an 8th note Groove that uses Future Hit, all the notes are placed on 16th subdivisions instead of 8ths so I guess the note needs to be before where you want the actual hit to be. It only made sense once I dragged in the Groove and looked at what it was doing, it’s not playable from a keyboard.
Why isn’t there some kind of explanation of how to use all these articulations instead of leaving users to figure it out on their own?
