Hi,
I am using Stories – Percussion kit and trying to create a realistic tambourine performance but the “Shake” and “Shake Back” articulations are under “Not MIDI-Mapped” section. I have opened MIDI Mapping section in the right side, then assigned notes to these articulations by overwriting some existing ones(for other percussion instruments that I do not use currently). But when I trigger the notes through my midi keyboard, the changed ones are not being triggered for some reason. Can I get some help please?
Ex: In the attached images, I showed the process. At the end, C0 does not generate any sound while D#0 does generate the tambourine Beat sample.
Thanks.
Hi,
the not MIDI-Mapped articulations are meant to be used with the Tambourine’s Future Hit Stack and/or Grid Editor.
If you select one of the ‘Future hit Tambourines’ Grooves in the Grooves Browser, play it and check the Tambourine’s articulations drop-down list, you will see that it’s the Stack that is being triggered by the Groove and it is in return firing the non MIDI-Mapped articulations.
Drag the Groove down to the Song Track and open it in the Grid Editor to see how the programming is for those hits. Future Hit instruments and articulations are not meant to be used for live-triggering, since they make use of, well.. future hits.
