State of the Art SDX – weird tone from a ride sample

Bouncing out a track for a client here and one of the samples from this SDX is creating a really odd overtone. I’ve got it narrowed down to the Studio ISO library ride and the bow tip 2 articulation around 67 velocity. Just a heads up.

I investigated and found following:

1. All bow tip 2 samples have an overtone that rings for several seconds at all velocities, that is not present in bow tip 1. So I guess that is not the sound you are referring.
2. There are apparently some samples that additionally have a very high pitch sound with less volume, less evident, that last for less time. But for me this high pitch sound should be something normal.
