Split Clips In Song Window?

I notice when I use the split function, I can’t always split a MIDI clip between two measures. Some allow me to do this but some will only split out 2 measures. Is this just a function of the particular MIDI clip I’ve chosen?

Also, I have a song where I have the 4 chord playing for two beats then the 5 for the last two beats of a measure. How can I go about doing a mid-measure split?

What specific MIDI file does the above happen with? I tried some but they all can be split at the bar line.

With the grid set to ‘straight’, if you zoom in close in the Song Track, you should be able to split at the 16th note level.
