Haven’t seen amy movement on this, or even a reply from developers.
Really awful. Maybe if they would fix this issue to actually make this a usable instrument for most people those same folks may purchase some of their midi packs and alternative sounds that they keep blasting in emails.
Until this is resolved I’d never recommend this instrument to anyone.
I am also hoping for extended chord voicings. Hope the developers remedy this. Thanks!
I agree we need extended chords in the next update ASAP
Does the silence on this topic mean we should resign ourselves to the fact that we will not see this addition?
Another vote for extended chords … some of the bass lines that are created are amazing but they can be out of tune when using something as common as maj/min 7ths (and I imagine these are common in all genres). An update would be most welcome as manual correction is a pain.
Thanks.
Patrick.
All the best.
Patrick.
I’m not sure how many of the bass lines mimic a John Pettruci solo that might cause this problem but even if there are some chromatic runs starting on the root and ending on a perfect 4th and you really need that Lydian sound in the bass; can’t you adjust it yourself?
If you are used to music with only major/minor chords and power chords I understand you don’t get why other people need this feature…I play jazz and fusion and the underlying harmonies are usually very complex. At present I have to programm the bass line by hand as there is no way to make EZ bass play something decent on those harmanies. But, if I have to do it by hand why should I use Ez Bass? I can stuck with Trillian, which sound-wise I like it better.

Hi Davide if you don’t know progressive metal like Dream Theater or guitarist John Pettruci then you may be forgiven for assuming those of us who don’t clamour for this feature in a bass guitar program only chug power chords in drop D or C tuning but you would be wrong.
Complex time signatures and changing key signatures, borrowing chords from other keys and liberal use of Phrygian, Locrian, the Melodic and Harmonic Minor modes are commonplace in this music as well as jazz and fusion and I really don’t need a Super Locrian scale for my bass lines.
I second that demand. It is especially uncanny to import midi directly from EZ Keys 2 to EZ Bass and to see the chords have been altered when the two programs should work seamlessly together.
Don’t get me wrong, those two product are amazing, but this is a big downside. Please do something for your next update.

Thanked by: Brooks H+1. This is a feature that is desperately needed.

Doesn’t have to be a complex solo. A walking jazz line has extended chord tones.
Of course we could make adjustments. Some of us can also play/program entire lines ourselves. Then there are those that want the software to provide lines with extended chords. There are singers and non bass playing musicians that just want the software to lay down some lines with little to no fuss.
I used to play bass and am still serviceable on it. But I got EZbass to do most of this work for me. Sure, I make adjustments when needed. But having to add extended/leading tones to an entire track defeats the (expected) purpose.

Hello from Australia.
Having all the same problems as all these other owners of eZBass.
Suggestion. How about a sub-app that works like ScanScore?
write out the bass line in music notation and drag/drop into EZBass.
Piano rolls don’t cut it for pro musos like myself.
Combining the two would be perfect.
thx. j.
