    Hi,

if I follow you correctly, isn’t the ‘Auto-Load’ button what you are looking for? If you run a groove in loop, hit Alt/Option+R to replace e.g. the Snare and have ‘Auto-Load’ Enabled, you will hear it in place when selected. If you don’t like what you hear when you exit Replace, hit Undo.

    BR,

Hey, thx for the answer! this is not what I searched for, but surely an ok option. Would be great if Toontrack would implement a simple “single drum-loop”-test mode. Best!

John’s method is far more versatile and just as easy. I use it all the time for auditioning kit pieces, as well as creating drum mixes and presets.

which triggers the drum being played in a loop for sound checking/mixing purposes etc.

Just play a midi from the grooves tab (they’ll play on loop) and solo the desired drums.  That’s what I do when I’m setting up effects in the mixer.
