I’m using Ezdrummer and dumkit from hell, and I’d love to be able to add some reverb on my snare and kick (hell, all toms).
When you record an audio track with Sony Acid, you can choose to apply any number of vsts, from a list of dozens.
When you have a MIDI track however, which is what ezdrummer creates, those options aren’t available.
The only thing I’ve tried that works (kinda) is to get a drum track the works, then copy it to a second track, and remove all of the midi events you DON’T want, render that output as a WAV file, bring the WAV back in as an audio track, and apply whatever effects you want to that.
Add to that the fact that you need to SUBTRACT those midi events you did the whole thing for in the first place from the ORIGINAL MIDI track, its VERY cumbersome.
Is there something I’m missing?
Thanks!
Also if you’re interested, here are my songs so far, all using EZdrummer

I *think* I figured it out.. looks good in theory, haven’t had a chance to try it yet.
Acid lets you add VST at the softsynth level. That is, if I have three tracks which have ezd as softsynth #1, they’ll all get the effect. You can have multiple instances of ezd active (one would be softsynth #1, the other #2, etc..).
you do not need nor want several instances of the plugin… simply right click the mixer strip assigned to EZdrummer and select ‘insert/remove DFH Sampler Outputs’. repeat 6 times. save as a template for convenience.
