Song Creator Performance Record

Hi,

If I jam along to a song using the song creator by pressing play on the different verse/chorus/fills suggestions it can be a really good way to build a drum track  in real time.

But I can’t seem to record across this performance? If I try and press record it doesn’t record and if I press record first and hit a variation play button it unarms the record button. (I want to record the midi not audio).

Is there a way around this? Or is it drag and drop only? I can do this in UJAM solid drummer VST, so it’s a possibility I guess.

For anyone interested, I figured the workaround was to just send the midi back out of SD3 and in to a new instrument track (in Bitwig) and record across it.
