Have you tried making the original ‘drag and drop’ into a groove clip and then dragging it out and then editing it?
I don’t really cut up segments.
Dave on here uses Sonar, like I do, and he may pop on to guide you as he is experienced in all things EzDrummer.

If you drag an EZdrummer groove into SONAR and you wish to stretch it out for a number of bars the easiest way to do it is to select the groove by mouse clicking on it and then pressing Ctrl-L to create a Groove Clip.  After you have changed the clip into a Groove Clip you can grab the left or right border of the clip and drag it out for whatever number of bars that you wish.  It will copy the groove accordingly.

It’s also helpful to set your Snap settings to Measure and use the “Move By” option when doing the initial drag and drop.

    Thanks Guys,
Dave I will give it a try and let you know how it comes out. I am very green as you can tell. But until I get that portion worked out, it is a bit tough to continue on with the rest of my project. Thanks again.
    Take care,
    Dan

Dan, when you tried dragging & dropping the grooves, did you have the Snap To Grid function turned on?

    Hi,
I did not have the snap to feature on but it will get on. Last night I was going to work with it and of course I have the m-audio fast track usb and it wouldn’t recognize so I spent most of the time reconfiguring it to get it to work and I did get one drum track in and turned it into a groove clip. That worked great but I did notice a drop in volume after the first initial segment. Plus I need to get more fluent with ezdrummer. I am trying to get a slower straight beat with ezdrummer but that is presenting more of a challenge than I thought. But I will get it in time especially with the help of all you guys that have been through the painful learning curve. I really appreciate all the help. Someday I will be able to return the favors to someone else in need. Thank you again to all.
