Iv’e been fighting this forever. I have EZ drummer with DFH EZX xpansion pack. Using sonar 5, vista home digidesign Mbox 2 pro. Everyone Iv’e talked to on these forums says that they can have complete control over all the drum kit pieces using multiple output config. But I dont know what Im missing but I have no control at all doing that. I set up EZ drummer in sonar with multi outs. In EZ drummer mixer I asign the kick to out 1 snare to out 2 hihat to out 3 and so on. The OH and Room channels are on thier own audio track also. So lets say my kick is too loud. I can turn it down in the ez drummer mixer and or the sonar audio channel its on and I can stil hear it cause its bleeding thru the OH and Room mics, even if I turn off the bleed mic switches in the EZ drummer mixer. If I turn down the OH and Room mics it sounds like I bought the drums at wall mart. So in essence I have no control at all.
I dont understand why I cant control each drum part individually without losing the ambient sound. Is there a secret that I havent heard yet? I hope I explained my situation correctly. And I tried BFD also its pretty much the same thing. But EZ drummer is much less confusing thats why I want to continue using it.
