I’m working on a song in Logic Pro 10.7.4 that contains EZ Keys, EZ Bass, and EZ Drummer 3. Everything’s been going smoothly. Now I go to play it back and the Keys are out of sync / out of time with the drums and the Project. I zoom in tight in the Keys plug-in window and I see the attached image. In a number of places, there is a tiny (what looks like a) REST inserted on the beat; it takes up a fraction of a beat; then the chord appears. I cannot select or edit or delete this “rest.” It has the effect of pushing every following chord change off the beat. And there are multiple instances of these “RESTS” throughout the rest of the song. Can you please help me?? I have played around trying to figure out how to delete these little “REST”s so that I don’t have to recreate the entire song’s chord structure and performance parts — that would take me forever to do, and on top of that I have no idea how these rests got introduced so as far as I know they will appear again. When I play the song half-way through, between the bass and the keys and the drums and all the timing being off, it sounds like a cacophony of random notes and beats.
PS
I realized the EZ Bass ALSO had odd, tiny little blank chord segments, but unlike in Keys, in Bass I could select and delete them and drag the other chords into their place. I started with the chords in Keys, so when I dragged them over into Bass, the little rests must have followed along into Bass. But thank goodness the Bass interface allows them to be individually deleted! Still, it was a real pain to zoom in tight and pick out and delete all these blanks, then hand drag every other chord into place.
I’m happy to provide more info if needed! I’m completely at a loss with this. Thanks for your thoughts!
