Hi I am new to this software and I have a few questions that some of you might know the answer to.
I want to use this software together with my E drums and these are my questions.
1 – How can I play along to music from Spotify or Youtube ( played from Iphone or Ipad ) and at the same time listen to the sound from my e drums via Ez drummer 3.
It would be nice if I could adjust the sounds from music and my e drums individually. Could a DAW perhaps help with this?
2 – When I play the E drums then the MIDI IN in EZ drummer 3 can suddenly disconnect. I connect from the drum module to PC via USB cable A B. But the one I have is a cheap caple, I dont know if that could be an issue.
3 – The audio buffer size in EZ drummer 3 has the lowest setting of 144 samples. Do you think it could be my PC, USB A B cable or maybe drum module. Or something else.
My PC – ASUS Nitro 5 Laptop, Windows 11, 16 GB memory
E drum kit. Millenium MPS 600 but from tomorrow it will be Millenium MPS 850.
I know these drum kits are budget, but althrough I have played drums for 42 years and having a great time doing it still. I now just play at home for 4-5 hrs a week.
Maybe some of you have experienced 1 or 2 of my topics or maybe have an idea of what the issue might be.
Thanks 🙂
As for playing and mixing your drums with computer audio, I recommend my preference which is an audio interface that has a Loopback feature. There’s lots of workarounds that take some effort otherwise.
As for your other concerns, here’s an Audio Vid and a Midi Vid that will get a foundation of knowledge in this area.

Thanked by: stig.rasmussen and rixaHi Shootie, while I’m working on getting a better audio interface that has a loopback feature, any tips on what those workarounds might be if I wanna jam along computer audio?
Without spending money, I can’t personally recommend. I’d have to know a lot about what you have access to, what you know and so on. This is why Loopback became a thing. Pro Audio programs sharing the same driver is tricky.
You could buy the cheapest analog mixing board you can find, plug a computer or phone into it for music, and then also plug your computer with EZD into it… and mix those together.
When you’re ready… The Presonus 4i4 (3rd generation or higher) is an inexpensive way to get into Loopback. I’ve had about 10 students buy them and not one complaint. I think Presonus themselves resell their Bstock and refurbs at a discount. There may be less expensive loopback solutions, I haven’t looked into it in a bit though.
If you have a higher end ekit, check the manual, nicer ones can have routing features that can help you Frankenstein special situations.
There may be some PC routing tricks I do not yet know about.
Best of luck.
