andrew_100I am using the demo version of Ezdrummer 2 and while I understand I’m not entitled to anything since I haven’t payed for the product, I am just going to give my opinion. Take it or leave it I suppose.
Reserving the forums (EVEN TO READ THE POSTS) only for people who have bought the product and required expansion is really scummy and I will not go on to purchase Ezdrummer. I’ve never seen this sort of policy for any website or company. Not much else to say about that, just wow. You’ve lost a potential customer.
The Tap2Find feature needs to be used as a custom pattern maker. I’ve spent several days trying to get a standard black metal blast beat, straight 8th notes, kick/hi-hat on downbeat, snare on upbeat. This is an extremely simple drum pattern. I had to use the Tap2Find feature to make that pattern, then load a pattern with all this extra playing in it that I didn’t want, tweak that for 30 minutes just to get a basic blast beat. The process is incredibly counter-productive. Tried to get a SIMPLE double kick snare-on-2 beat and gave up after about 5 min. Even though Ezdrummer sounds way better, I’m going to use Hydrogen because I can actually make exactly what I want with that program.
Just some pointers to make your software better. I’m not going to pay to tweak other peoples flashy beats when I want to most basic patterns. I’m not going to pay for an expansion to use a blast beat. And I’m certainly not going to pay to just READ the forums. As I said, you’ve lost a potential customer.
