Soft jazz, ballads, brushes

Hi,

I am trying to find suitable  soft drumkits and MIDI-files for EZD2
My tenor sax friend asks me to build up backgrounds for songs like Desafinado (and other Jobim etc), Jag tycker inte om dig (Lill Lindfors), Underbart är kort (Povel Ramel), and Karl-Bertil Jonsson (!!) i.e. a mix of low profile drums and accoustic bass (based on EZB). E.g. (sweeping) brushes.
I already have the JazzEZX, Latin CubanEZX (+ Blues & Vintage Rock)
As for  MIDI I have a couple, including Basic Jazz, Jazz, Latin Jazz, Singer Songwriter and a couple of others.
But  I still can’t find what I’m looking for!
Any good suggsetions? Will I find it with what I have? Another drumkit? MIDI-pack?

Hi Brad.

thank you. I will give it a try, there are obviously brushes! If they’re sweeping or not remains to see (or hear).
Maybe the MIDI:s aren’t perfect, but on the other hand I want a simple background, so it should be easy to do what I want from the keyboard

Hi Pelle,

I can highly recommend the Big Band EZX recorded by Al Schmitt at Capitol Studios.  It sounds fantastic.

Here’s what its “Broadway Brush” factory preset kit sounds like on a typical jazz / bossa style drumloop:
