Snare sample imported sounding different

Hi all!

I am new to the Toontrack family and just purchased EZDrummer 3, I love it so much.

I have a problem. There is a sound I have imported for the snare from an external source from my WAV library. I have simply dragged and dropped the sound into the snare itself. The sound of the snare is matching now the one I have in the library.

The issue is that it sounds quite different from the one I have in the library, which is richer of low-end. I preview it from the Studio One browser and play it by clicking on the snare in EZDrummer. Can anyone help me match the sound?

My troubleshooting so far:

• The drum channel is clean until the mixbus, everything is passing through, thus no processing to the sound is happening outside of EZD
• I am testing the sound in EZD with full velocity
• I am certain that the preview browser in Studio One has no audio processing at all
• I have flattened all the Reverb and Compression settings in the Mixer tab in EZD

Does EZD show your sample’s name in the menu on the left, where the loaded drums are listed?

Hi, yes it is there. The sample is the right one – it only sounds very different in terms of EQ

What happens if you put your sample into a kit in another room? Does it come out the same as that snare?
