I am having trouble getting rimshot (rim + head contact) sounds from my snare to respond the way they do with the stock Roland TD-17 module output. The only way I’ve been able to get a rimshot sound is by hitting only the rim, which is obviously not a natural way to achieve it and I’m sure that SD3 doesn’t aim for this to be the way to get the sound. I’ve got the TD-17 preset loaded, but can’t reason why I should change any settings if I already get the action I want from the module without SD3. Is it something with a crosstalk setting? Please help. Thx

Hi,
if you record MIDI from your TD-17, does it send both notes when you hit both head and rim?

Thanked by: Dustin KoesterI’m not sure how to see which notes have been recorded, but from the Analyzer in settings I can see that only one note is activated when I hit both rim and head with one stroke.
