I am seeing an odd issue. I use Reaper as my DAW. I want to set up multi-channel routing, so the quickest and easiest way to do that as far as I know is to tell REaper to add a virtual instrument for me. It then creates new tracks with all of the sends/receives set up correctly – the only thing I need to then do is to go into the Mixer tab of EZD and route the various drums/mics to different tracks.
The problem is that I am seeing significant volume differences when I change from stereo to multi-channel routing. Is this expected? I don’t understand why this would happen.
It is expected. When you route, you bypass master bus FX.
So if you chose the Original Mix preset, or some of the many others that do not have master bus processing, you will not hear a volume difference.
