I’m brand new to EZ Drummer 3, and have run into something I can’t figure out.
I added a shaker to a groove by going into Drums > Edit Play Style > Shaker, and turning up the Amount. It worked fine. I was experimenting a bit with Grid Editor (trying to move things around). Now… I come back in, and the Shaker won’t play. Some symptoms:
Here’s a screenshot of the Grid Editor, showing how the Shaker is greyed out (but not “Muted”).
And BTW, this is only when I run EZ Drummer as a plugin from within GarageBand. When I run it standalone, with the same groove, the shaker works just fine. Here’s another screenshot (standalone mode), with the shaker not greyed out, and working just fine.
It seems that somehow I’ve managed to “mute” the shaker, but not via the “M” button. Any suggestions on how I can get it back?
Many thanks! — Steve
You may have unloaded the Shaker from the Drums Tab. Click on it there and reload it. Or reload you entire preset in EZD.
