Different Toontrack Products have different midi mapping.

A different example would be is if a product had 10 cymbals. The midi that comes with this product would incorporate all 10 cymbals. But if you play the midi from this product in a different EZX/SDX that only has 4 cymbals, you will start triggering things besides cymbals.

There’s only 0-127 midi articulations. When these products get big, there’s no way to assign all articulations consistently across products. You only get consistency when it comes to the core instruments of the kit like kick, snare (not brushes), hats, 4-5 toms, 4 cymbals and a ride as a rough example.

It’s working as intended. You need to fix this yourself to combine brush info from one product to the other. If you’re getting into brushes and Toontrack, more general info here. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

Shootie is bang on. Jazz Session is a prime example that was discussed in a previous thread. Damien expounded on the fact that this SDX has a bunch of new articulations that were being shown off in place of the brush articulations. You would have to create new mappings if you wanted to use brush articulations.
