When I boot up the standalone version of EZDrummer 2.1.8, the Search Window says, “MIDI Database Error, Mismatch of versions between database and plugin. Make sure that you are using the latest installed plugin.” Product Manager 1.0.7 states that everything has been updated. My MIDI libraries play OK, but I can’t use the Search Window.
Hi,
please go to the ‘Menu > Advanced > Restore Factory MIDI Database…’

Thanked by: Bill GottshallI tried that, but it was grayed out (I’ve since read other threads that had the same problem). I ended up fixing it by uninstalling it, then reinstalling it, BUT it took 3 attempts. After the 1st reinstall, the Search Window had returned, but the standalone version of EZDrummer 2 didn’t install. I reinstalled; same result. Luckily, I’m stupidly stubborn, so I did it a 3rd time and now all is well.
Thank you for your response. The EZDrummer 2 app is incredible! The drum samples are superb and the ease of use/flexibility ratio is perfect! I’ve enjoyed using it for many years without any problems. This was the first one I’ve ever encountered.
