I write & produce R&B (soul, neo soul & funk), Reggae (roots), Electronic, Hip Hop (pre Trap) & some experimental cinematic stuff. What SDXs might be useful, if any?
I’m a new SD3 & Orchestral Percussion owner and wonder what I could add during the current sale. I’m listening to C&V, Indie & Roots now. Though my prior experience is making me think/wonder if my sounds are more about layering & mixing than more kit pieces. There is a good amount already here to work with.
It looks like the sale is through July, so I have time to experiment with the original kits (& Orchestral Percussion).

C&V & Indie provide a good contrast to the included kits and address my needs to some degree. I’ll take the time I have to get accustomed to all the ways there are to manipulate the sounds and see if I need anything.

Ehhh, after listening to a comprehensive preset play through of C&V & Indie, I can pass. Not much there I couldn’t do with what I have.
Surprisingly, NY Studios Vol 1 sounds like it would add something. And I wish I could find a better drum only sampling of Roots Sticks.
Now the EZXs are where it’s at, but I feel like I’d be buying presets as I could probably design similar sounds with what I have. But the Action, Claustrophobic, Hip Hop, Reggae & Twisted Kits (couldn’t do this with what I have) sound interesting.
