Before you do anything check to see if you’re running in Admin mode. You may have to change to that. If that doesn’t work read below.

Go to the OSX control panel and click on the ‘Security & Privacy’ icon. Check what you have the ‘Allow apps downloaded from:’ radio button set to. Set it for ‘app store and identified developers’ and you should be good to go. If for some reason that doesn’t work Google search for how to set this to ‘anywhere’. For me it requires doing some stuff in Terminal. I’m on OSX 10.13.6 so I don’t know if things have changed in later versions of OSX. Also your computer has the T2 security chip IIRC – there may be something you have to do as regards that.

Thanks for replying! I’ve looked at the “app store and identified developers” and that all looks to be correct.

I’m able to download the updates etc, just not install. Just tried again, but no luck unfortunately.

Where are your libraries located? It’s possible that there is a permissions issue or the folder is locked. You can check the lock using “Get Info” in the Finder.

What do you mean by ‘appears to be correct’? What are you actually seeing where I pointed you? Downloading the updates means nothing – it’s being able to install them and that’s where what I mentioned comes into effect. Also as Jordan said check your folder permissions.

The libraries are on an external drive and I haven’t made any changes at all t permissions etc. I haven’t used the software for a little while and purchased a new SDX today. When I opened the Product manager, there were numerous updates to do and none of them will install.

Checked what you and Jord had mentioned and the screenshots are attached. I’m not really sure what to look for.

You missed something I mentioned and that is that Toontrack stuff might not be a signed/recognized developer. You may have to change that to allow install from anyone/everywhere. That can be changed back after the install. The other thing is are you running with admin privileges? And just to be clear while the libraries are on an external drive the Toontrack application itself is in the Applications folder on your system drive right?

Strictly this is not a Toontrack issue.

I believe Toontrack is signed. My GateKeeper is on without issue. There’s something that may be wrong with his file system. Probably best to run Disk Utility to see if there’s a B-tree issue, or something similar.

It appears to be the external drive as I can’t create a new folder or drag and drop anything to it.

Check your permissions for the drive. Run OSX Disk Utility and do a health check on the drive. Are you running as admin?
