Can you describe the problem a bit more, e.g. what is it you want to be fixed?

    Hi Henrik,

The original text is located on this page (scroll a little bit down):
    https://www.toontrack.com/manual/superior-drummer-3/7/7-3-edit-midi-edit-play-style-and-the-grid-editor/#7-3-2-the-grid-editor

    Original text:

    Grid editor header bar:
    Cursor tools
The Arrow tool allows you to select a note or group of notes by lassoing them.
The Pencil tool allows you to add notes to the Song block.
To avoid the need to constantly switch between tools The arrow tool can be instantly changed to the add note tool by pressing Command + Option (Mac) on your keyboard (Alt+Control PC).

When you hover over the “mouse pointer” icon in the Grid editor (upper left corner), it displays the tooltip:
“Pointer tool; use to select or move notes”, but the user guide mentions “Arrow tool” which is confusing.
Note: The tooltip on the “mouse pointer” in the MIDI track (lower left corner) also mentions “Pointer Tool (1)” which is correct.

    I suggest the following improvements:

    1. Change the user manual to: “The Pointer tool allows you to select a note or group of notes by lassoing them. This can be activated with the number 1 key on your keyboard.”
    2. Change the user manual to: “The Pencil tool allows you to add notes to the Song block. This can be activated with the number 2 key on your keyboard. “

    3. Remove incorrect scentence “To avoid the need to constantly switch between tools The arrow tool can be instantly changed to the add note tool by pressing Command + Option (Mac) on your keyboard (Alt+Control PC).” because this opens the preview window on PC and does not switch between the two tools.

Same for 7.4 Editing Song Blocks on the Timeline:
    4. “The Arrow tool will be the most commonly used” -> Change to: “The Pointer tool will be…” “This can be activate with the number 1 on your keyboard.”
    5. “The Scissor tool allows you to cut/segment Song Blocks on the Song Track. This can be activated with the number 2 on your keyboard.”

    6. Add keyboard shortcut 1 to the Pointer tooltip: “Pointer tool (1); use to select or move notes”.
    7. Add keyboard shortcut 2 to the Pencil tooltip: “Pencil tool (2); use to insert new notes”.

Now all text and tooltips are consistent. I know how it works, someone decided to rename Arrow to Pointer as a last minute action. Laugh I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Erwin
