Hello,
SD3 won’t play the first MIDI notes, quantized exactly to beat 1, of a groove, if the playhead starts on those beats; in other words, the playhead starts at the top of the groove and misses what happens on beat 1. I’m running SD3 as a plug-in within Logic Pro X 10.7.9. The notes will trigger if I loop the section after it loops once, and all other notes play fine. I’ve adjusted the chase settings inside Logic and it didn’t resolve the issue. The notes will also trigger if I push them a 16th note away from the 1, but now the groove is changed. I have everything quantized dead-on their beats and not ahead of the 1, and I’ve also tried pushing the whole groove a bar back into the song to avoid starting at bar 1 inside Logic; no change. I’m not sure what to do with this problem by this point, since it renders working on the piece confusing and difficult. Is there a fix I’ve missed?
There might be something else at play within Logic. I’m using Logic Pro 11 and Superior Drummer 3 plays a heavily quantized groove without any issues. All notes play at the first beat.
Perhaps ZIP and post your Logic project (without audio) so we can have a look.
