SD3 Standalone reported latency: "Output latency" vs. "Buffer latency"

Why does SD3 show “Output latency” and “Buffer latency”? What does this mean?

Any other VSTi app or DAW shows ASIO ouput latency: this is only one value! 😉

So what is “Buffer latency” and has it to be added to “Output latency”?
