Hi,
I have a MacBook Pro M1 2021. I am running SD3 using a MOTU M4 audio interface. According to MOTU, the M4 can run at a buffer size of 32 using its latest driver, which I have installed.
To achieve the lowest latency, I want to be able to utilize a buffer size of 32. However, it appears that the standalone version of SD3 is limited to a buffer size of 64 – no matter what the capability of the audio interface may be. This is very disappointing. Toontrack, can you please provide an update that allows the user to leverage a 32 sample buffer size?
Thanks
JP
did this ever get adressed? I’m running SD3 with my new Roland Vad507, the buffer size of 64 is Ok ish but considering the price of SD3 and the roland combined im a bit disapointed
The standalone is just a wrapper for the plug-in. Run it inside something like Mainstage or Gig Performer to get the buffer size you want.
