Latency is always down to your computer and sound card. Not an SD3 problem. The computer should be fine but the onboard sound probably won’t. You should try asio4all driver and see if you can get the latency down. Have you tried using the sound card capabilities of the td25? Many have been able to get the latency down on these.failing all of those buy a decent sound card.

The sounds on SD3 are very dynamic so there is a huge difference between quiet and loud as there should be. When you click on a drum it plays at full velocity. First try turning up SD3 using the volume bottom right. If that is t enough make sure the module is sending full velocity 127 when you hit hard. If not adjust the trigger settings on it until it does. If it’s still not what you want then there are the velocity curves in SD3

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
