Looking forward to hearing more of SD3. 99% of the time, I listen to my music on Sony MDR-7506 headphones. I’m not going hear surround sound just listening on my headphones will I? Has there been any consideration to having a lower cost version of SD3 that doesn’t have the surround sound? What will the system requirements be? I have Mac OSX 10.9.5 and use Cubase AI 8. With SD3, could you take a drum recording from a CD, and convert the audio to MIDI to trigger the SD3 sounds?

    – No, you won’t hear surround sound on stereo headphones. You can utilize the surround channels as extra ambient channels in a stereo mixing situation. They really add many sound options beyond surround.
    – The system requirements are found at the bottom of the FAQ:

    – Yes, the idea of Tracker is to take audio files and convert them to MIDI. This can, even be done with a stereo drum file. Some manual tweaking may be required but if the detection algorithm does its job, it should be minimal.
