I’m not sure if this is the place for this but wanted to give some comments on SD3 since I’ve been an SD user from the beginning.
– GREAT SOUNDS! Best on the market. Great rooms and mics. Love how they’re all in the same room (seamless drum swapping). Love all the cymbal articulations. Miss the snare rolls. Great tambourines! Best on the market.
– Great Graphics and layout. Love the side boxes on the main page. Mixing board is great. Tuning works beautifully.
– Pretty good effects but I still prefer to route out dry and use UAD plugins
– Lousy midi translation page. I set up my own layout “NN midi”, pull up your preset drum kits, select “NN midi” and nothing changes. I end up having to go to the main page and manually enter each articulation. I much prefer Addictive Drums: You set up a global preference for midi translation and every time you select any kit, it’s your layout.
– Lousy bounce to audio feature. MUCH prefer SD2!!! I imported a midi file and it bounced at the wrong tempo. Too much to think about.
– Tracker was unintuitive and didn’t work for me. I do it 3rd party.
– Lots of deep rich snares, not enough trashy, attacky and ringy snares. ex. Nothing suitable for punk rock w/o a bunch of work.
– All high-hats are crisp and detailed. No trashy thick hats. Yes you can eq the hat fader but it’s still thin and crispy in the OH fader.
What version of Superior Drummer 3 you are using?
